Abbey can be summed up as brains, beauty, and bravado! The foundation bitch
for Soonipi Hounds, Abbey made her presence known, whether in the show ring,
the obedience ring, or on the trail. Abbey had an impressive show career finishing
at 13 months in the US and 15 months in Canada. She received 14 BOB awards and 43 BOS
awards including BOS at Westminster Kennel Club at Madison Square Garden in 1996.
Abbey ended her show career in early 1997 to begin her "family." Abbey was bred twice,
once in 1997 and again in 1998 to CH Roamingwood's Angus B BeCoz producing a total of
18 pups. 1999 was a very big year for Abbey. After only two litters, Abbey received
the ABC Dam of Merit Award AND the 1999 Pedigree Top Producer Award for producing the
most champions in 1999. In 1999, Abbey qualified for the Mantrailing title along with
three of her get! In 1999, two of Abbey's get placed in the Top Twenty in breed for
Bloodhounds. It was a very good year! In 2000, Abbey earned an obedience title while
one of her pups finished in the top 5 in the breed ring. Abbey has clearly passed her
brains, beauty, and bravado on to her pups. Of 13 pups, there are 9 AKC champions, 4 CKC
champions, 3 MTs, 2 CDs (1 in two countries!) 4 group placing dogs, and 1 specialty winner!
